Pioneering innovation is in Scotland’s soul. We have a legacy of invention, research and knowledge that continues to this day and is being secured for the future by Scotland’s budding innovators, inventors and pioneers.
In the Year of Young People VisitScotland Business Events team is looking for 3 Young Legends aged 18-26 who best represent the country’s spirit of pioneering innovation.
Have you made a new discovery, an invention or new insight into a challenging issue? Have you contributed to innovative thinking or pioneering research? Do you have a new business idea that harnesses new technology or come up with a solution to an old-age problem? If you are involved in any of these in the following sectors, you could be a Young Legend!

Creative | Energy | Health | Space | Food & Drink | Surgery
3 Young Legends will be invited to a one-year anniversary Legends event in Glasgow in November 2018 and feature in the Legends campaign, highlighting their contribution to their respective field.
The nominations will close on 30th September 2018.

In 2018 Scotland puts its young people in the spotlight, celebrating their talents, contributions and creating new opportunities for them to shine. The Year of Young People 2018 (YOYP) is a year-long programme of events, activities and ideas that will give young people in Scotland the opportunity to show the world what they are made of. Legends is VisitScotland Business Events' 24 month campaign that highlights 12 of Scotland’s innovative sectors, their current work and future ambitions with a nod to past achievements. Each sector will be showcased for 2 consecutive months with each city and identified region having a dedicated week to promote their area.
